Slam Dunk bands

Stealing news from Punktastic... here are the first announced bands for Slam Dunk Festival:

New Found Glory
Capdown (exclusive reformation shows)
The King Blues (although rumour has it they're pulling out because Itch's girlfriend is giving birth the weekend of the festival)
Four Year Strong
Set Your Goals
Rx Bandits
Every Avenue
Out of Sight

Tour date scheduling suggests that Breathe Carolina are playing too (i.e. they've announced their tour dates with convenient gaps the dates of Slam Dunk).

Anyway, it's two days this year. Saturday 29th May at University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield and Sunday 30th May at University of Leeds (same venue as the past couple of years). It'll be six stages (plus a seventh stage/bar of DJs/electro/etc). Tickets are dirt cheap - £25adv - and check SlamDunkMusic.com for more info.

Look! Not a Hidden Talent tour! (I.e. here are King Blues dates...)

The King Blues head out on a couple of runs of dates in April/May. No supports announced yet. Tickets are quite cheap (well, relatively, anyway) and onsale now from the usual suspects.

The King Blues: April/May 2010 UK Tour
Saturday 10th April @ Komedia, Brighton
Sunday 11th April @ Waterfront, Norwich
Monday 12th April @ O2 Academy, Manchester
Tuesday 13th April @ O2 Academy 2, Newcastle
Thursday 15th April @ Garage, Glasgow
Sunday 25th April @ O2 Academy 2, Birmingham
Monday 26th April @ Phoenix, Exeter
Tuesday 27th April @ Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
Saturday 1st May @ Rock City, Nottingham
Tuesday 4th May @ Arts Centre, Colchester
Wednesday 5th May @ Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth

I'd imagine there might be a few more dates announced, so keep checking their website/Facebook/etc.

Brendan Kelly solo show

Due to some issue (of which I'm not aware), the other two members of the Lawrence Arms can no longer make the first date of their upcoming UK tour... but... Brendan Kelly can still make it. So... the Southampton show will now be a Brendan solo show, playing Lawrence Arms songs, The Falcon songs, and more. It'll now be £4adv instead of £7adv, and anyone who has bought a ticket already should have an e-mail detailing how to get their partial refund.

As a reminder, here are the dates:

Mariachi el Bordello

Why am I writing faux Punktastic-esque headings all of a sudden?

Regardless, Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello are back, this time with The Bronx supporting in London and The Bronx's mariachi side project - Mariachi el Bronx - on all other dates. Superb.

Gogol Bordello + Mariachi el Bronx + Matt and Kim: May 2010 UK Tour
Friday 7th May @ Hammersmith Apollo, London w/ The Bronx (NO MARIACHI EL BRONX)
Saturday 8th May @ O2 Academy, Manchester
Sunday 9th May @ O2 Academy, Glasgow
Monday 10th May @ UEA, Norwich
Tuesday 11th May @ O2 Academy, Birmingham

I believe tickets are on sale now, probably expensive, so have a look.

Gaslight Tourthem

That heading was crap. Sorry.

Anyway, everyone's favourite Bruce Springsteen tribute act - The Gaslight Anthem - return to these shores around the time of Glastonbury, with some suspicious days off around when Glastonbury is... hmm... anyway, here are the dates:

The Gaslight Anthem: June 2010 UK Tour
Tuesday 22nd June @ O2 Academy, Birmingham

Thursday 24th June @ O2 Academy, Manchester

Wednesday, 3 February 2010

Because not posting your own tour dates would be a waste of an opportunity...

Yes, me and James are off for a few days together with the talented Tim Vantol, before I bugger off home and they join Sam Russo and Cynics (Giles Bidder). So, here's how it all breaks down:

Sam Russo + Tim Vantol + Cynics + James Hull + MC iPod: February 2010 UK Tour

Tim Vantol + James Hull + MC iPod:
Friday 12th February @ House Show, Norwich w/ Radio Waves Goodbye, This Business is Closed, The Future of Music, Ducking Punches & Joshua Bruce Allen
Saturday 13th February (afternoon) @ House Show, Spalding (NO MC IPOD)
Saturday 13th February (evening) @ Xoo Bar, Peterborough w/ Kathleen Turner Overdrive

Sam Russo + Cynics:
Friday 12th February @ House Show, Brighton w/ Apologies I Have None & Wooderson
Saturday 13th February @ House Show, Portsmouth w/ Angela Morgan & Tim Atom Bomb

Sam Russo + Tim Vantol + Cynics + James Hull + MC iPod:
Sunday 14th February @ Homestead, Southampton w/ Don't Let Paris Fool You

Sam Russo + Tim Vantol + Cynics + James Hull:
Monday 15th February @ House Show, Dorking
Tuesday 16th February @ House Show, London
Wednesday 17th February @ House Show, Swansea

Sam Russo + Cynics:
Thursday 18th February @ Basement, Leeds
Saturday 20th February @ Bar Vu, Haverhill w/ JG Harding

As you can probably see, a lot of these are house shows. If you want to go, best thing I can suggest is hunt down Kieran Kelly and ask him for all the details.

That all makes sense, yeah?

Full Hot Water Music dates

Furthermore to James' post, here are the full HWM dates. All three of them...

Hot Water Music: June 2010 UK Tour
Monday 21st June @ O2 Islington Academy, London
Tuesday 22nd June @ TJ's Woodhouse (formerly Liberal Club), Leeds w/ Milloy & The Magnificent
